Empowering Nonprofits: Innovation for Sustainable Impact

On 12th May 2026, nonprofit leaders, development practitioners, policymakers, regulators, funders, and social innovators gathered at the ISSER Conference Hall, University of Ghana, for the Africa Nonprofit Summit 2026 (ANPOS 2026), under the theme “Empowering Nonprofits: Innovation for Sustainable Impact.”

Organised by the National Consortium for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO Ghana) in collaboration with Partnership Bureau, the summit was created to address the growing need for stronger, more sustainable, and better-equipped nonprofit organisations across Africa. As the sector continues to face challenges relating to funding, compliance, technology adoption, and organisational sustainability, ANPOS provides a platform for learning, collaboration, and practical solutions.

Building on the success of previous editions, ANPOS 2026 participants for a full day of insightful discussions, networking, and knowledge sharing. The programme featured an Opening Address, a Keynote Address, panel discussions, and breakout sessions covering Resource Mobilisation for Sustainable Nonprofits, Strategic Communication and Marketing for Nonprofit Impact, Practical AI for Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) in Nonprofits, and Transformational Leadership for Nonprofit Growth and Influence.

A major highlight of the summit was the official launch of the Nonprofit Compliance Guide, a practical resource developed to help nonprofit organisations better understand and navigate key compliance requirements from the Office of the Registrar of Companies (ORC), Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT), and the Nonprofit Organisations Secretariat (NPOS).

The summit also provided valuable opportunities for participants to build partnerships, exchange experiences, and explore innovative approaches to creating sustainable impact within their communities.
